Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Tech Team in Milan.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and deploy high performance micro services for our core products (web, search, billing and mailing)
- Write code using the best practices of quality and maintainability, like TDD, pair programming, CI/CD etc.
- Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations
- Work closely with product manager and business stakeholders to support new and better products
What are the competencies & qualifications needed?
- Strong Java experience, with exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications. GoLang and Kotlin for microservice development and Python for scripting are a plus
- Familiarity with Docker containerization and Kubernetes container orchestration systems
- GPC cloud environment knowledge is a plus

- Reasoning and willing to learn. Using structured and later thinking you will be expected to solve challenging problems, given the right knowledge
- Good written and spoken English. We have a multicultural team, so expect to often speak English in meetings and/or pair programming sessions.
- Minimum of 4 years in a similar role
